where stories find home

Welcome to Balé—where stories find home.
This is a house built of quiet words, moonlit letters, and the memories we carry across time and distance. Rooted in heritage and nurtured by wonder, Balé is a gathering space for poetry, travel reflections, cultural memory, and slow storytelling. Whether you’ve come here to read, remember, or return to something once lost—this is your place, too.
Welcome home.

Project 50 before 40

Mountains, Maps, and Ferris Wheels: My Road to 50

By the time I turn 40, I want to say I’ve danced with the wild spirit of all 50 U.S. states. At 31, I’ve given myself this gift of time, motion, and memory — a promise to go further, deeper, and freer.

This isn’t just about checking states off a map. It’s about hiking mountain trails that test my strength, chasing waterfalls that stir my soul, exploring national parks that humble me, and riding every ferris wheel I can find — from small-town fairs to skyline giants. I want to feel the wind in my hair, the dirt on my boots, and the stories in my heart.

I travel not just to see the world, but to understand it—and to understand myself a little more with each mile.

This is where I’ll document it all: the wonder, the wild, the winding paths that connect places to people, and moments to meaning.
